This is my latest modification, a LAT (Los Angeles Tigers) fiber glass bonnet (hood). This has been fitted to improve air flow & just because I saw one on a USA site and liked it. My 1st attempt proper at spraying, not bad.
Havent yet sorted out fixing the bonnet prop, dont want to rivet it & risk it pulling through, so looking at bonding a bracket on.
As over heating is always a concern & I've had problems in the past, I decided to have a spare radiator I had recored with a triple core as against the standard 2 core.
To the right you can see the electric fan with a modified bracket from a peugeot 106.
You can see the difference between the one above to the old one below. It also took nearly a pint more to fill. It looks good with the chromed rad cap, & it wont tarnish like the zinc plated ones do as soon as anti-freeze comes near them!
Was still borderline on the cooling senario, so found a high volume fan on ebay, fit with a cable tie type arrangement through the rad. Bonus is - if this isnt eneough I think I could fit 2 on!!!
